| Hi Mario,
Thank you for your interest in the move toward web excellence that the NAD has
initiated. It is becoming clear that use of the web has become a given in the communication culture of the Christian world.
Seeking truth, comfort and community is an ever growing reality for people online
in this age of uncertainty. The size of the task is too great for any webmaster to play lone ranger. Effectively handling
content and graphics is a massive responsibility. Therefore, we take a team approach at Wood Communications to ensure that we
provide high editorial and graphic standards for our clients, especially our church.
Though we do this work professionally, what we have done at Emmanuel-Brinklow is a
gift of love to the Lord and our church. We receive no pay for the work—it is a ministry. Yet, we put as much time into it as
any other site we do professionally. We see this web presence as critical in these last days. As a result the Lord has blessed
our business.
Our primary interests are glorifying God and edifying others. To accomplish this we
place emphasis on the following:
Providing a professional, inviting graphic environment that is suited to the
content.
Developing content that is useful, and that showcases the action and inspiration of
our local and global ministry.
Ensuring accuracy by regularly double-checking content, carefully proofreading, and
faithfully maintaining high journalistic standards. (We try to strike a balance between informational and devotional content.)
De-emphasizing meaningless graphic elements and animations that distract visitors
and slow down the site.
Selecting a color palette that creates a warm atmosphere without overpowering the
visitor.
It’s not about the designer, it’s not about the pastor; it’s about Jesus and the
WORK of the church. Let them speak in the warm and credible spotlight you create. “Make straight his path!” That’s our job,
and we are happy to serve in that role.
