Gail Bremner accepted the challenge of building Arden Adventist Church website reluctantly. By no means a professional webmaster, she is kept busy as Women's Ministry Leader and editor of the 8-page newsletter that Arden sends out to the community and interest list. She is a mother and a grandmother who runs her own graphics design business. She loves to learn and this has definitely had a learning curve!

Our goal at Arden is that we reflect God's character in our community, provide a safe place to grow spiritually, and present the Bible in a manner that will lead people into a richer, more joyous relationship with Christ and His church. To accomplish this goal, we have displays and brochures in the Asheville airport, as well as local businesses, we combine energies with the local hospital for a yearly Health Screening Day, take mission trips in various parts of the world with Share Him and Maranatha International, and send out thousands of advertisements to the area homes for the activities that we have going on at the church.

We have been blessed to have a consistently growing viewing of our website from countries as far away as Trinidad, Kenya, Peru and Germany. We love the technology that allows us to reach people, not only in our own neighborhood, but around the world. Soon the gospel will go to the whole world and Jesus will come. We anxiously look forward to that day!

Carolina Conference President Jim Davidson made these comments May 31 as he presented an award to Arden Seventh-day Adventist Church. The presentation was made at the annual Carolina Adventist Campmeeting at Lake Junaluska.

He indicated the Arden Church is setting the Internet pace for the entire Carolina Conference. In fact, Pastor Jim Hakes, Walt Hutton and Gail Bremner accepted a special “E-Church” award, signed by North America Division President Don Schneider.

Davidson also commented on the benefits of a church web site. It can create a link between your local church, your community and the world. And it allows you to share all your local church news.
