eChurch Award Criteria

Once a month the eChurch Award evaluation team reviewed five candidate websites in order to select the winner which best met the following evaluation criteria for a well-designed church website:
1	Does the home page load in a timely fashion?	Load Time Is Important

2	Is the home page understandable?	Website Design Basics

3	Do site pages feature logical navigation options?	Navigation System

4	Does the website feature the local church?	Featuring Local Church

5	Is the content up-to-date?	Getting Information

6	Is contact information available?	Keeping Info Current

7	Are meeting and worship times clearly posted?	Featuring Local Church

8	Do the colors and overall design compliment each other?	Color Basics

9	Does the site include an evangelism component?	Evangelistic Emphasis

10	Is the content easy to read (grammar, spelling, etc.)?	Readability

11	Clarity of identity about who Adventists are?	Evangelistic Emphasis

Church webmasters will be wise if they pay attention to the above criteria when design their websites. By doing so they will produce attractive and effective websites for their church.
